May 2026 Updates

I've done a little redesign work with the site in recent days.  Here's a list of the major changes:

• The Faith and Culture blog articles are now under the Apologetics tab
• Gospel Foundations and The Gospel Project lessons are now under the Bible Studies tab
• Links to Through the Bible courses from The Gospel Coalition (TGC) have been added to the Bible Studies tab
• The Lifeway Reader has been added to the Bible Study Resources and has replaced the need for many of the other links there.  There are many free resources made available to you by the tithes and offerings of the churches in the Southern Baptist Convention through our Cooperative Program.  These free-to-you resources include things like:
  • 9 different English translations/versions of the Bible--the ASV, AMP, CSB, ESV, HCSB, KJV, NASB, NLT, and WEY New Testament (multiple bibles in some translations, including Study Bibles).
  • Additional versions/translations avaialble in Chinese and Spainish
  • Concordances, Commentaries, Videos, and Devotionals
  • This will als be your Library of eBooks (like the books for The Gospel Project and Gospel Foundations courses) that your purchase from Lifeway.
• The Daily Devotions blog is now its own tab.
• This blog is now called Updates
• A new blog has been created under What We Believe for The 99 Essential Doctrines (formerly just a link to a booklet).  This blog combines the information from this booklet along with YouTube videos that offer these same topics in more of a Question & Answer format suitable for catchesim.
• Speaking of catechism, I have included a new link to the New City Catchism on The Gospel Coalition's page.  Each question gives a full answer that is suitable for adults and a shorter answer that is suitable for children.  Also included is an audio clip of a song to teach children to remember each question ans answer.  Scripture, Commentary, a Devotional, and a Praeyer are also included for each question making this a good resource for family devotions.
• The previous link the New City Catechism videos on YouTube is now called New City Catechism Videos.
• A new link has been added to the Links and Resources for ChatAboutJesus.com--a great place to go if you have questions about becoming a Christian or want someone to walk you through the plan of salvation so that you can know for certain that you are saved.  Options are avaialble for phone, text, and live chat.
• I am going to start posting the upcoming Personal Study Guides and Handouts from The Gospel Projedt lessons here instead of on Discord.  The blog posts will show the future date of when the lesson is supposed to be taught in Sunday School according to the regular sequece.  You will see YouTube videos embeedded in the blog posts for the lessons that have already been taught.  Future lessons have a placeholder for the YouTube video that is not visible until the link to the video is added.  This should help you have access to the lesson materials ahead of time if you are going to be travelling.
• Members can now join the site without choosing any Bile Study.  The Request Access form and the Contact Us form are now locked behind this Basic Membership to help prevent SPAM.  New registrations will automatically be granted this permission set that will give you access to the Contact Us form and the Request Access form.
