Ezekiel 28:25-26 English Standard Version Israel Gathered in Security 25 “Thus says the Lord GOD: When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and manifest my holiness in them in the sight of the nations, then they shall dwell in their own land that I gave to my servant Jacob. 26 And they shall dwell securely in it, and they shall build houses and plant vineyards. They shall dwell securely, when I execute judgments upon all their neighbors who have treated them with contempt. Then they will know that I am the LORD their God.” A short but timely, relevant, and important passage that deserves it's own article for today. There are many parallels between the people being sent into the Babylonian Exile and their promise of return and the return of the Jews after the Diaspora in 70AD that ended after World War 2. There is an even greater fulfillment of this prophecy for the end times and the Millennial Kingdom. That is to say that prophecies like this can have "near" and "far" fulfillments with their ultimate fulfillment sill in the future. In the midst of all the promises about the enemies of Israel being destroyed, the LORD promises that He will not let Israel be completely destroyed and He will bring them back to the Promised Land and restore them.
Not only will they dwell in the land, but they will dwell securely in the Land (that hasn't exactly happened yet as there hasn't really been a time when the people of God have possessed all the Land promised to Jacob and had a time of real peace). It will be such a time of peace that they will live generationally building houses and planting fields that will be as much for their children and grandchildren to enjoy as it is for them to enjoy. The LORD will judge all their enemies and keep them safe, and in the end, He will destroy all those who oppose Him, His Messiah, and His people. Once again, the LORD says it will be in that moment of their judgment that the enemies of the people of God will realize that the LORD is God.
